Halloween traditions

We made our traditional pineapple man again this year. 3rd year in a row makes it a full-fledged tradition, right? (2 years ago we waited until Halloween day to buy pumpkins, and the stores were all out, so Ben bought a pineapple and watermelon instead.)

Here's Watermelon man. He met with a small accident shortly after coming home from the store, so he's a bit worse for the wear...

I LOVE Joseph's. Did your boys just design them or did they actually carve them?

Your tradition is soooo fun. I love how little oopsies along the way become treasured memories... good for you to hanging onto it!

love the pinapple and watermelon - maybe we will steal that tradition for us! Mostly I love the story of how the tradition came about for you though...

Eva thanks you for providing her with so many amazing and creative vicarious jack-o-lanterns this year -- I think that's our new tradition :)
