Family reunion in St. George

We flew out to Utah the first week of April for a family reunion in St. George for Ben's side of the family.  We stayed in a huge vacation rental home.  All of Ben's side of the family was there except for our nephew McKay, just back from his mission and starting school again.
The weather was a little cooler than usual, but the kids still swam a lot.  It was perfect weather for hiking, so one afternoon Ben and Dave took a bunch of the cousins on a hike up Snow Canyon.  Ben carried me on his shoulders the whole time so I could be a part of it.

Snow Canyon is so beautiful!

After the reunion, we drove up to Utah Valley for a couple of days.
The sunset over the mountains was so pretty:

Brigham played a few games of checkers against Grandma Jackee:

Mosey's getting big to sit on dad's lap!

But not too big to play with his little cousin, Alex (these next pictures were still in St. George):

Seeing Mosey being so sweet and kind to his little cousins made me wish so much for another baby...

While in St. George, the boys needed to keep practicing for their recital, so I got a silicone roll-up electronic keyboard for them to practice on.  It wasn't the best sound quality, but it did the trick!  (That is Ben's youngest brother Ted and his baby girl, Molly, in the background.)

Brigham couldn't resist the tree in the front yard:

Mosey brought his Webkinz hamsters to keep him company:

Back up at Grandma's house, Ben took the boys skiing for the first time up in Brighton.  I think they all had fun.  Joseph was still pretty hesitant to ski because he barely got his cast off and still had his wrist in a brace.  But he went down the hill a few times and I think had fun.
Mosey and Brigham both went down several times as well.

Brigham in particular was a natural skiier and can't wait to go again.

On the way home, we stopped by the side of the road for the boys to make snowmen.
The snow was very sticky, and rolling snowballs was quickly an exercise in sheer muscular strength:

Man oh man, Utah mountains are beautiful:

Joseph ended up digging out a snow cave which he then climbed into-- the snow was deep, and only his head showed over the snow!

Mosey helped Ben build a snowman, and then built his own:

Brigham built a very elaborate snow castle complete with moat, bridge, battlements, gatehouse, etc.

We flew home Tuesday afternoon, so it was a quick trip.  We love Utah!
