Our art group came this afternoon.  My idea was to make "plastic" out of curdling cream with vinegar.  I've done it before with the boys and it worked out great, but I guess I had defective cream this time, because the reaction refused to occur.  Darn it!  So instead we made gak (glue, water, and borax).  That was also not entirely successful-- it seems that off-brand, five-year-old glue isn't the most high-quality stuff.  :-)  It made slime all right, just extremely sticky, messy slime that made a humongous, gigantic mess.  :-)  Oh well, you only live once.
